A Taste Of The World’s Best Pig

That’s the MarketMan Joel with the World’s Best Pig according to Anthony Bourdain.

We went to his home in Cebu, same place Aunthony Bourdain visited for his food adventure and where we were treated with his world famous lechon (roasted pig) that he branded as Zubuchon.

The MarketMan prepared 3 lechon for us to feast on, 2 regular lechon and 1 truffles lechon! Yes! You read that right truffles!

If you think the regular Zubuchon is the best I don’t know what you can say about the Truffles Lechon, its absolutely delicious and the best lechon I’ve ever tasted in my entire life.  How I wish Joel can mass produce this like how he does his regular lechon but he said its nearly impossible because of the cost.

Oh well! I should be so lucky to be one of the few to taste this masterpiece!  The skin was so crunchy and there’s absolutely no fat! The smell is oh so mouth watering and the flavor just melts in your mouth!

Zubuchon (Php490.00 kl) ships in Manila but you won’t get the freshly cooked with crispy skin lechon but the frozen one.  Re-heating and cooking instructions are provided when you buy the frozen one too.  You can make pritchon (fried lechon) or sinigang na lechon (which we also tried out at Marketma’s home)  They can’t ship fresh lechon as that’s the only one that can pass through a barcode scanner and won’t get spoiled immediately.
